Biography:
Bruno Gonçalves completed his joint PhD in Physics, MSc in C.S. at Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 2008 following which he joined the Center for Complex Networks and Systems Research at Indiana University as a post-doctoral research associate. Since September 2011 he has been an Associate Research Scientist at the Laboratory for the Modeling of Biological and Technical Systems at Northeastern University.

His research activity focuses on using computational, visualization and data analysis methods for the study of Complex Systems in a multidisciplinary context. Current projects include detailed epidemic modeling in structured populations; knowledge diffusion on large technological networks; and the study of human behavior through the analysis of proxy social network dynamics
